Agora ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Agora platform at askagora.ai (the "Service"), a multi-AI chat platform that enables you to interact with various AI models powered by third-party providers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information.
For purposes of applicable data protection laws, Agora is the data controller of your personal information and is responsible for providing you with this Privacy Policy.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account Information: Email address, display name, and password when you create an account. We also create a user ID for your Agora account.
- Profile Information: Location (if you choose to share it) for personalized AI responses.
- Payment Information: When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or full payment details. We receive your Stripe customer ID, subscription status, and billing history. Your provision of payment details is subject to Stripe's terms and privacy policy (https://stripe.com/privacy).
- User Content: Messages, questions, and prompts you send through the Service, including text in conversations, projects, and panel discussions. Any information and files you provide will be shared with the third-party AI model providers powering the responses. Please exercise caution and avoid sharing sensitive personal information (e.g., credit card numbers, social security numbers, government IDs) in your prompts. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any personal data contained in your prompts, including data belonging to third parties.
- Uploaded Files: Images and documents you upload for AI analysis. Uploaded files are automatically deleted after 30 days.
- Support Requests: Information you provide when contacting support, including your message, category, and any attachments.
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: Features used, number of messages sent, panels run, credits consumed, and timestamps.
- Device Information: Browser type, operating system, and device type, collected for analytics and to troubleshoot product issues.
- Log Data: IP address, access times, and pages viewed.
- Location Data: Approximate location derived from your IP address (country/region level). Some AI responses may receive your approximate location to respond to location-specific questions, only if you have opted in through your settings.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
- Process your transactions and manage your subscription.
- Send your prompts to third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) to generate responses. Agora does not create or generate AI responses — we provide access to third-party AI models, and those providers are responsible for the content of their responses.
- Personalize AI responses based on your location preferences and project context.
- Enforce usage limits and manage your credit balance.
- Communicate with you about your account, respond to support requests, and send service-related notices.
- Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve the Service.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues.
We do not use your content to train any AI models. Under our API agreements with OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google, your prompts and conversations sent through the Service are not used by those providers to train their foundational models.
3. Third-Party Services
AI Model Providers
To generate responses, your prompts and conversation context are sent to the following third-party AI model providers:
- OpenAI (ChatGPT) — https://openai.com/privacy
- Anthropic (Claude) — https://www.anthropic.com/privacy
- Google (Gemini) — https://policies.google.com/privacy
Your Agora account information (e.g., username and email) is not shared with AI model providers. Only your prompt content and conversation context are sent to generate responses. These AI model providers may process your prompt data as independent data controllers in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms. We encourage you to review their policies.
Agora is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google. References to these providers and their products are for identification purposes only. Each provider operates independently and is solely responsible for its own services, models, and data processing practices.
Payment Processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card details. Stripe's privacy policy can be found at https://stripe.com/privacy.
Other Service Providers
We also use third-party service providers ("subprocessors") for infrastructure and hosting (Google Cloud, with servers located in the United States), security and content delivery, and transactional email delivery (e.g., email verification and support notifications). These providers process data on our behalf and only as necessary to perform their services. We require contractual data protection commitments from our service providers to ensure appropriate safeguards for your data.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Google Cloud servers located in the United States (us-central1 region). By using the Service, you understand and consent to the transfer of your data to, and processing in, the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
We implement security measures including:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit.
- Secure authentication for account access.
- Access control rules to restrict data access to authorized users.
- Web application firewall and bot protection.
- Server-side validation on all backend functions.
While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.
5. Data Retention
- Account Data: Retained as long as your account is active. Deleted when you delete your account. We may also terminate and delete accounts that have been inactive for over one year (see Terms of Service).
- Messages and Conversations: Retained as long as your account is active, unless you delete them.
- Uploaded Files: Automatically deleted after 30 days. The AI's analysis text remains in your conversation.
- Payment Records: Retained as required by law and Stripe's policies.
- Support Tickets: Retained for up to 2 years for quality and reference purposes.
When you delete your account, we delete all your data including conversations, projects, messages, uploaded files, and your authentication account. This process is irreversible.

- Access your personal data through your account settings and conversation history.
- Export your conversations using the built-in export feature.

7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a user under 18, we will delete that information and terminate the account. 8. Cookies and Tracking
The Service uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. We do not engage in advertising or share your data with advertisers. We may use analytics tools to understand usage patterns. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
